Our approach

Funders & Philanthropy

Strategic giving starts here

Philanthropic funders today face increasing pressure to demonstrate impact, align giving with values, and build trust-based relationships — all while navigating complex social challenges and fragmented funding ecosystems.

At Giving Connect, we understand these realities. That’s why we work with funders as a critical friend — helping you move beyond transactional grantmaking toward strategic, catalytic philanthropy. We offer independent insight, practical tools, and sector expertise to help you invest with purpose and confidence.

Your roadmap to philanthropic impact

Giving Connect’s Ready4Impact framework is a best practice, evidence-based process designed specifically for “lean” philanthropy – grant makers seeking to achieve maximum impact, with minimum operating costs.

Our service is designed to help philanthropic founders, teams and trustees assess and understand what best practice can look like for their philanthropy. We achieved this by assessing current philanthropic practice across six best practice domains, all linked to three key success factors; capability, confidence, and partnership.

How it works

Phase 1
Phase 1

We encourage our clients to commence their giving by understanding their giving values, objectives, risk appetite and approach, by completing their own Giving Canvas. This is a short form that will take you up to 15 minutes to complete.

Phase 2
Phase 2

Once you have your canvas, we can support you to follow it, delivering capacity and building internal capability to achieve your impact objectives.

Our goal is to help you achieve philanthropic clarity and confidence over the long term.

Why Giving Connect?

At Giving Connect, we bring a unique blend of sector insight, independent perspective, and practical tools to help you.

We understand the increasing pressures facing philanthropy today — both on the demand for financial support and sector expectations on acheiving strategic, values-aligned partnerships.

We act as your critical friend — offering honest advice, evidence-based frameworks, and a collaborative approach that empowers you to foster philanthropic partnerships with clarity and purpose.

We will help you to
